Adding Rule in Advanced Mode

To add a new rule, click on the New Rule icon on the Input, Output, or Forward tabs.



The Add Rule page allows you to elaborate on the specific rule.



The basics of the advanced mode rules adding:

1. The Name field is marked because this field is an obligatory one.

The Source Address and Netmask, Source Port or Port Range, Destination Address and Netmask and Destination Port or Port Range fields are left to your own discretion.

2. The standard format for Source/Destination Address and Netmask field is 1.2.3.4/255.255.23.4;

3. The standard Port Range format is 80-123;

4. To enable a rule, select the Enable check box (if you are creating this rule for future purposes, uncheck this box)

5. Include the rule into one of three chains by selecting Input, Output, or Forward from the drop-down menu.

6. On the The rule's position in the chain drop-down menu you are to decide what priority this rule will have in its chain.

There are two options for you to choose between: the bottom and the top of the chain

7. In order for the changes you have made to become operational, click on the Submit button.

To undo the changes and return to the previous page, click on the Cancel button.
