Container reinstallation means recovering the original state of a Container in case you have unintentionally modified, replaced, or deleted any file that is part of an application or OS template, and the action has brought about the Container malfunction. The Container reinstallation process restores these files as they were at the time when the Container was created or when other applications were added to the Container afterwards, if so.
Reinstallation is likely to bring about some irrevocable changes to your Container, therefore it is recommended to backup your container before reinstallation.
Note: Your container needs to be stopped before reinstallation.
After you have backed up your container:
1. Login to your Parallels Power Panel.

2. Click on the Maintenance link.

3. Click on the Reinstall tab.

4. Click on the Prepare to Reinstall button

5. Select your preferences and when you are ready, click on the Next button to complete the reinstallation process.
