How do I backup my container?

You can back up all the non-shared data stored in your container.

In general, there are two types of backups available:

1) Client Side backup (stored on your computer)
2) Server Side backup (stored on the server).

While there is no limit to the number of client-side backups you can perform, the number of server-side backups you can perform is limited by your VPS Hosting plan.

For example, if you are currently on the BudgetVPS1010 Hosting plan, you are only allowed 1 server-side backup.

To perform a Client Side backup:

1. Click on the System tab.

2. Select Backup and Restore.

3. Click on the Client-Side Backup and Restore tab.

4. Select the desired task.

a) Back up a user directory - you can select which user directory you wish to backup

b) Back up all the user's directories - this allows you to backup all user directories on your container

c) Back up a custom directory - you will need to enter the directories you wish to back up

d) Restore a directory from a backup stored on your computer - you will need to use the upload wizard to upload the backup file from your computer to the container

5. Once you have decided on the task, click on the Next button to continue.

6. If you are backing up directory(s), you will be prompt to save the backup file on your local computer. Select the Save File radio to complete the backup/download.

To perform a Server Side backup:

In the case of server side backup, all the system data (including system files) are being saved. And the number of server-side backups allowed is subject to your Hosting Plan.
