How do I add a DNS record to a zone file?

 To add a DNS record to a zone file:

1. Click on the System tab.



2. Select All My Domains. A list of all domains on your account will appear on the screen.



3. Select the domain you wish to edit a zone file.



4. Select the DNS Zone tab. The list of DNS records appears.



5. Click on the New Record button.



6. Fill the form that appears:

a) In the Name field, enter the sub-domain name

b) In the TTL field, enter (in seconds) how long other name servers should cache, or save, this record. (TTL is short for time-to-live). For. example, a 86400 value corresponds to one day.

c) Select the type of the record from the Type drop-down menu.

d) The Priority field is needed to add MX and SRV records, namely, to specify a mail server priority. Thus, this field becomes active only in case you have selected the MX record type.

e) In the Value field you should indicate the answer to the query.
